Smart Design

This series of 3 posters was designed for a Korean Design Expo entitled “Smart Design”. We were to add to this title, explaining what smart design was to us, then create a series which explained that idea visually. The title for my series is “Smart Design stands out”. I chose to draw upon my personal experience as a student, where we are continuously fighting to set ourselves apart. I took this even further, playing upon my college, SCAD. “Scad” can mean both a type of fish, as well as a large quantity of something. The silhouettes play to idea that the individuality gets lost. The series is composed in such a way that they are each strong enough to stand alone, yet unified enough to create a well-balanced set if hung side by side.
